Government has been applauded for the construction of Gundawa- Masaurari feeder road in Ketare District of Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara made the commendation during a tour to inspect the completed feeder road led by Head of Kankara Local Government Head of Administration Alhaji Lawal Kado Kaita and other local government officials.

Represented by village head of Gundawa Alhaji Bilyaminu Husaini Gundawa, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara while thanking government for the construction of the road, noted that it will boost socio-economic activities of  the people of the area.

He said people of the area who are predominantly farmers can now transport their farm produce to neighboring market of Kankara, Yantumaki, Malumfashi, Dayi among others with ease.

The District Head recalled that Katsina state government had constructed a tarred road from Dayi-Gangule-Gundawa-Wawal Kaza connecting Malumfashi, Musawa and Kankara Local Government Areas.

The newly constructed feeder road now links communities of Gundawa and Masaurari with the tarred road.

The Kanwan Katsina called on all the benefiting communities and entire Ketare District to continue to be law abiding and support government policies and programs for their development.

It should be recalled that the feeder road was among the road promised to be constructed by commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs Alhaji Ya’u Umar Gwajo Gwajo during his working visit to the area.

Other roads to be constructed in Ketare District are Gurbi-Majifa, tashar Maje-Bakawa and Unguwar Zaki –Ganzamawa which the head of local government promised to constructed soon by government.

During the visit, prayers were offered for peace and progress of Ketare District, Kankara Local Government, Katsina State and the country as a whole, at Masaurari Jumuat mosque led by the chief imam of Masaurari.
