Traditional Ruler Backs Wada Chedi on Suppression of Smuggling, Promotion to Comptroller

The Kanwan Katsina , District Head of Ketare , Alhaji Usman Kankara Bello (3rd right) , when he visited , Comptroller Dalha Wada Chedi , the CAC of Katsina Command , (2nd right) with his entourage in Katsina , to congratulate him on his promotion to the rank of Comptroller.

The Kanwan Katsina, District Head of Ketare, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara has lauded  the efforts of the Katsina State Area Comptroller of the Nigeria Customs Service, Dalha Wada Chedi at improving Customs-Community Relations, and suppressing of smuggling activities In the state.

Alhaji Usma Bello Kankara gave the commendation, when   he led his council members and delegation from Ketera District to congratulate the Controller  , on his recent promotion from the rank of deputy comptroller of customs to comptroller of customs.

The Monarch described Comptroller Wada Chedi as  a very dedicated and hardworking officer  who has contributed to the success of the Nigeria Customs Service,  in the   various capacities he has served  across the country.

He expressed happiness that Wada Chedi was  one of the officers he groomed while serving at Tin can Island Port area command, Lagos, some twenty years back, and the fact that he  has attained the Rank of Comptroller, which is the highest peak in the career of the Customs Service.

The traditional ruler prayed for success and God guidance for  the new Comptroller of Customs.

Responding,  Comptroller  Wada Chedi thanked his former boss,  Kanwan Katsina, District Head of Ketare , also  a retired Comptroller of Customs and requested for his advice at all times.

He acknowledged the fact that he worked under the tutelage of comptroller Usman  Bello Kankara( rtd) ,when he was  Deputy Superitendent of customs, in Tin Can island Port.

He said he is aware, that to whom much is given, much is expected, therefore he will redouble his efforts in serving the nation, and keep on doing his  best, to suppress smuggling and improve revenue for the nation.
