Traditional Ruler Backs NGO over Education on Democracy, 2023 Elections

The Head of Service Katsina State, representative of the Katsina State Governor(right) presenting the Merit Award to Kanwan Katsina Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara mni, during the National Conference organized by the Voice of the Masses Murya Talaka a Non Governmental Organization in Katsina recently.

The Kanwan Katsina, District Head of Ketare, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara has commended a non-governmental organization, Voice of the Masses (Murayar Talaka) for organizing its 11th Annual National Conference in Katsina, which theme  is ‘ how to ensure the future and survival of democracy in Nigeria, beyond 2023 General Election’.

            Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara mni was speaking as the Royal Father of the occasion which was held at the conference hall of Local Government Service Commission.

            The Traditional Ruler called on the NGO to intensify efforts in public enlightenment through radio and other media outfits for the successful conduct of the 2023 general elections.

            He called on the  people to shun all forms of election malpractices and violence in the forthcoming general elections in the country.

            Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara urged  people to ensure to register and obtain their voters card which is their power to vote.

            The Kanwan Katsina said the Ketare District Head’s office is working closely with Kankara local government chapter of voice of the masses (Murayar Talaka) in improving the living welfare of the people and said his door will always remain open for support and advice at all times.

            During the conference, Alhaji  Bello Kankara mni was presented with an award of merit for his role and commitment and his  working tirelessly for improving the lives of the common man.

            The occasion was graced by the Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari who was represented by the Head of the Civil Service of the State, Alhaji Idris Tune, the National President of the Association and State Chapters and members of the academia.

            During the conference, a paper was presented by Professor Usman Muhammed of Baze University Abuja, and was discussed by Dr. Alkasim of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and other members of the academia.
