Renowned international scholars and erudite lecturers, Professor Ralph A. Akinfeleye and immediate past Dean, School of Post Graduate Studies, University of Lagos,Professor Solomon O. Akinboye were amongst dignitaries honoured at the weekend by Divine Favour Prayer Assembly Ministries, Mowe, Ogun State as part of activities marking the Church’s  11th convention / thanksgiving Service.

Professor Akinfeleye and his wife, Chief (Mrs) Akinfeleye were decorated with the awards of Grand Patron  of the church.

Professor Akinboye was also honoured with a similar award.

The Arole Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Abeokuta, Oba (Dr.) Femi Ogunleye and his wife were similarly honoured as Royal Patrons of the church.

The Olugbon of Lagos, Sen Anthony Adefuye was also installed as the Grand Patron of the church.

The General Overseer of Sanctuary of Nations Assembly, Somolu,Dr.Abiodun Adeneye-Marcus received a similar honour.

The head pastor of the church, Dr. Tayo Popoola described the awardees as outstanding personalities and role models who have contributed immensely to the  growth and development of the church in the last eleven years.

According to Dr. Popoola, that the eleven years old ministry is having three branches, a school of ministry (Seminary)  as well as a prayer mountain in Ekiti State is a  divine act supported by those who believed in the vision and mission of the ministry.

Dr. Popoola expressed gratitude to God for the huge success of the convention.

Earlier in his sermon titled “The Spirit of Christ,” Dr. Popoola said what Nigeria needs urgently at the moment to revamp its  ailing economy and  improve governance  is the Spirit of Christ.

Quoting copiously from the scripture, Dr. Popoola lamented absence of fear of God in our national affairs and added that for things to normalize in the country, we all must imbibe the Spirit of Christ.

Highlights of the convention which took place from Monday, 7th October to 13th was a 5-day prophetic revival, ordination of graduating ministers from the seminary and the thanksgiving service.
