Royal Father Offers Advice to Police Service Commission on Recruitment of Officers

Nigeria Police Service Commission has been advised to always demand for proof of good conduct and character from traditional and community leaders before recruiting police officers.

The Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara gave the advice in a goodwill message shortly after the election and inauguration of the executives of Katsina State chapter of the Police Community Relations Committee( PCRC).

This is contained in a statement signed by his media aid and Sarkin Labarun Kanwan Katsina, Jamilu Hashimu Gora and made available to newsmen in Katsina as well as the Marine and economy Online Platform.

Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara said demanding for the proof of good character from the level of village  and wards heads  will go along away in ensuring that people with questionable character are weeded out in the process of recruiting police officers across the country.

While congratulating the newly elected officials of the Police Community Relations Committee Katsina State  Chapter, the Mornach charged them to be just and fair in the discharge of thier official responsibilities.

Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara called on the officials to collaborate with the Katsina State Police Command and embarked upon public enlightenment through the media and organizing seminars and symposium on the need to join hands in securing lives and properties of people of the state.

The traditional ruler also called on the new executives to devise a way of generating revenue for the committee to carry out its activities as PCRC is a non profit organization

While thanking the PCRC Katsina State Chapter for finding him worthy and  appointing  him the Patron of the Committee,  Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara assured of his support and advice at all times.

The Kanwan Katsina who was a retired comptroller of customs and peace Ambassador noted that he has worked closely with the Nigeria Police at various point in time while serving and also assured to use his wealth of experience for the development of Katsina State PC

Highlights of the event include administering oath of office to the newly elected officials and presentation of certificate of excellence to the Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara for his efforts in bringing peace and security in his domain and state in general.
