The Katsina State Councils of the Nigeria Union of Journalist NUJ and Nigerian Association of Women Journalists NAWOJ has identified with their patron , Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara ,as he clocks twenty three years on the throne.
This was contained in a separate press statement signed by the Chairman of NUJ comrade Tukur Hassan Dan Ali and the Chairperson of NAWOJ, Hajia Hannatu Mohammmed and made available to the Media .
According to the NUJ Chairman, as Journalists and watchdogs of society, “we perceived the twenty three years of the traditional leadership of Alh. Usman Bello Kankara mni as successful in consideration of developments achieved in the ketare district during these years.”
“As retired Comptroller in the Nigerian Custom Service, we understand that Alh. Usman Bello Kankara mni has make judicious use of his paramilitary experience in ensuring discipline and dedication to the communities he is serving.”
The Statement described Alh. Usman Bello Kankara , as the most Media Friendly traditional leader in Katsina State, saying that , due to this, view and many other qualities , of the Kanwan Katsina, Journalists in Katsina State are highly proud to always be associated with the Kanwan Katsina.
The Katsina State Council of NAWOJ in the statement said the purposeful and steadfastness as a Monarch, has no doubt attracted developmental projects in and around communities of Ketare district.
“NAWOJ has it on record that your 23 years on the throne of Ketare District has been distinctive with lots of achievements especially in the areas of youth and women empowerment, educational development, Water supply, Health, roads, among others”, according to the Association.
On behalf of Women journalist in the state, the NAWOJ Chairperson Hajia Hannatu Mohammed wishes the Association’s patron, the Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare , Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara good health, Allah’s guidance and blessing to continue to bring more development to Ketare District, Kankara local government area and Katsina State as a whole.
Once again, the umbrella body of working Journalists in Katsina State is wishing Alh. Usman Bello Kankara mni many more years of successful traditional leadership, and again pray for the return of peace in Ketare District, Kankara Local Government, Katsina State and the country as a whole.
