The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has again warned Nigerians against fallen prey to fake auctions of goods notices on various social media.
It said in a Statement that the Customs does not auction goods on Social Media , adding that E-auctions are conducted only via https://auction.nigeriatradehub.gov.ng.
The Customs advises Nigerians to be wary of of fraudulent pages and social media accounts adding that they should always verify information directly through its official channels.
According to the Customs, ‘’ Goods are not auctioned on social media. E-auctions are conducted exclusively via https://auction.nigeriatradehub.gov.ng.
‘’Please note that the NCS has only one verified Facebook account:
Nigeria Customs Service (✔️).’’
‘’Beware of fraudulent pages and social media accounts claiming to represent the NCS. Always verify information directly through our official channels.
‘’Stay vigilant. Protect yourself from scams’’.
